The NextLight 525w system is designed to outlast and outgrow the competition.
Energy Efficient Design
NextLight 525w can maintain a 70,000 hour life rating at 100 degree F ambient conditions. Using the best LEDs money can buy NextLight can ensure longer life and better performance. Each system holds 96 American made, full spectrum white LEDs — using just 525 watts versus the typical HPS 1000 which uses 1100 watts. NextLight’s unique makeup also means that it emits a full 75% less heat than than 1000 watt HPS. This puts a significantly smaller load on the cooling system — relieving additional stress on power consumption and further cutting electric costs and extending its life.
Extensive thermal design has determined the most efficient way to run the LEDs at very high current. Throughout its life, the LEDs are driven at a higher current, creating a more intense point source and leading to better canopy penetration. And the light that is penetrating the canopy is the spectrum that is proven to grow.
NextLight 525w is a true HPS 1000 replacement — proven to grow.
The green line represents NextLight’s 525w spectrum, which encompasses the full spectrum of the HPS 1000. Unlike the misguided purple LEDs of the past, NextLight matches and extends powerful white light that’s proven to grow.
The NextLight 525w has been specifically designed to match the HPS 1000 spectrum, providing the same sun-like qualities plants love without the negatives of high energy requirements and high heat.
The HPS1000 has been the choice of the commercial greenhouse industry and hobby growers alike for 30+ years — its powerful white light simply delivers results.
LED competitors assume they can target certain colors to power the photosynthetic response curve. As any grower knows, the quest for the “perfect spectrum” is more of a gimmick than a scientific pursuit.
NextLight 525w matches the full spectrum and PAR of the HPS 1000.
The promise of LED Grow Lights is now reality
In years past, the promise of LEDs didn’t always match the expectations. Coming onto the scene in the 1990s, White LEDs were still a rather new invention — and the somewhat suspect overseas manufacturing left much to be desired. Additionally the variety of colors that were touted to be the “perfect grow spectrum,” further muddied the waters while delivering uninspiring results. NextLight however uses only the most modern white LEDs which replicate the full, dynamic spectrum. This enables us to deliver the sun-like quality of the HPS 1000 over a long period of time — all while using just a fraction of the energy.
Tested and proven to be safe.
Product safety is a cornerstone of NextLight. That is why we are proud to be one of the few grow lights with with Underwriters Laboratories Inc. approval. Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is an independent, nonprofit organization that writes testing standards and tests products for safety and certifies them. UL has developed more than 800 standards for safety, and millions of products and their components are tested to UL’s safety standards.
