Isopropyl alcohol dissolves a wide range of compounds. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces, and is relatively non-toxic, compared to alternative solvents, for example butane. It is used widely as a solvent, especially for dissolving oils and natural resins. Isopropyl alcohol can be used to extract essential oil from plant material as well as makes an excellent cleaning agent for removing tough resins from equipment and surfaces.
99.9% Isopropyl alcohol has the fastest evaporation time, making it an excellent reagent for extracting essential oils.
